What we collect
When you request a grounds assessment, we collect the information you choose to give us:
- your name, telephone number, email address and preferred contact method;
- the property postcode, approximate grounds size and property type;
- your maintenance requirements, preferred start and approximate budget;
- anything else you write in the additional information box.
We also record how you arrived at the site for that visit — for example the advert or campaign link you clicked, the page you first landed on and the referring website — so we can understand which of our marketing is useful. This is held in your browser only for the current visit and sent to us only if you submit an enquiry.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange an assessment and prepare a proposal — steps you have asked us to take before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To manage and improve our marketing — our legitimate interest in understanding which channels bring enquiries. We do not use your enquiry details to send you unrelated marketing.
- Analytics and advertising cookies — only with your consent (see Cookies below).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use trusted service providers to run the website and handle enquiries, who process data on our instructions:
- Netlify — website hosting and form processing;
- Google — Google Workspace / Sheets for enquiry records and email notifications; and, with consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads;
- Meta Platforms — with consent, the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram adverts.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.
How long we keep it
If you become a client, we keep your information for the duration of our agreement and for up to six years afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. If your enquiry does not lead to an agreement, we delete it within 24 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping it secure
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries are sent to our systems over encrypted connections and access is limited to the people who need it to respond.
