Who it’s for

Is grounds management right for you?

Our programmes suit owners who want their grounds kept to a consistently high standard, without having to organise it themselves.

Usually a good fit

  • Gardens and grounds of around a quarter of an acre or more
  • Extensive lawns, long hedge lines and established borders
  • Owners who would rather delegate than manage individual gardeners
  • Properties where presentation genuinely matters, all season
  • A budget in the region of £1,000 per month or more

If your garden is smaller or needs occasional help rather than a dedicated programme, we’ll tell you honestly during our first conversation.

What’s included

Everything your grounds need, every visit

Each programme is built from these core elements and weighted to suit your property. Your proposal sets out exactly what’s included.

01

Lawns

Regular mowing of extensive lawns, with crisp edging and strimming to finish every visit.

02

Hedges

Cutting and shaping to keep boundaries, screens and formal hedging neat and in proportion.

03

Borders

Ongoing border maintenance — tidying, deadheading, cutting back and keeping beds well defined.

04

Weed management

Consistent attention to beds, paths and hard edges so weeds never get a foothold.

05

Seasonal work

Leaf clearance, cutting back and the seasonal tasks that keep grounds in order through the year.

06

Grounds upkeep

General tidying of driveways, approaches and outdoor areas, with garden waste managed where included.

Programmes focus on maintaining lawns, hedges, borders and the wider grounds. Specialist work such as tree surgery is not included; if we notice anything that needs a specialist, we’ll let you know.

How programmes work

A dedicated team, on a fixed schedule

Your grounds are looked after by a dedicated two-person team who attend for a full day on an agreed rhythm — fortnightly, weekly or more often.

Because the same people return to your property, they learn its layout, its quirks and how you like things done. Each visit follows a planned order of work, and the programme shifts its focus as the season moves on.

A typical visit

  1. Lawns mown, with edges and strimming finished
  2. Hedging cut and shaped on its scheduled rotation
  3. Borders tidied, weeded and kept well defined
  4. Seasonal tasks for the time of year
  5. Paths, approaches and work areas left tidy
  6. Garden waste dealt with, where included

The benefits of regular maintenance

Grounds that are kept, not rescued

Consistency, not catch-up

Regular scheduled attendance keeps grounds at a steady standard, rather than rescuing them after weeks of growth.

One point of responsibility

No juggling separate gardeners and contractors. One team, one schedule and one person to speak to.

A plan for the whole season

Your programme anticipates the season — growth in spring, peak mowing in summer, leaves and cutting back in autumn.

Presentation you can rely on

Your grounds look cared for when you arrive home, when guests visit and through every month of the season.

Seasonal care

Planned around the year

Routine attendance runs from approximately March to November, with the emphasis of each visit changing as the season progresses.

From March

Spring

The first cuts of the year, edges re-established, borders tidied and cut back, and weeds dealt with before they take hold.

Peak growth

Summer

Mowing at its most frequent, hedges cut and shaped, borders kept neat and the grounds presented at their best.

Through November

Autumn

Leaf clearance, final hedge cuts, cutting back and putting the grounds in good order for winter.

Seasonal pause

Winter

Routine attendance pauses over winter. Any winter arrangements are discussed and set out in your proposal.

Property assessments

It starts with a visit

We don’t offer instant online quotes. Larger grounds vary too much for that. Instead, we visit, walk the grounds with you and put together a programme that suits the property. The assessment is free and there is no obligation to proceed.

  1. Request an assessment

Tell us about your property in a short enquiry form. It takes around two minutes.

  2. An initial conversation

We call to understand your grounds, what you expect from them and how you would like them looked after.

  3. Grounds assessment

We walk the grounds with you, noting lawns, hedging, borders, access and waste. The assessment is free and there is no obligation to proceed.

  4. Your written proposal

You receive a tailored maintenance programme setting out scope, visit frequency and a clear monthly fee.

  5. Your programme begins

A dedicated team attends on a regular schedule, keeping the grounds consistently presented through the season.

Common questions

Good to know

Anything else? Ask us during your assessment.

How is the monthly fee worked out?

It is based on the size of your grounds, the scope of work, how often we attend, access and any particular requirements. Our programmes typically start from £1,000 per month for fortnightly attendance. Your exact fee is set out in a written proposal after we have assessed the property.

Can I get a price without an assessment?

We don’t provide automated or online quotations. Properties of this size vary too much for an accurate figure without seeing them, and we would rather give you one clear, considered proposal than a guess.

What does the grounds assessment involve?

We arrange a convenient time to walk the grounds with you, discuss how you would like them kept and note lawns, hedging, borders, access and waste. The assessment is free and there is no obligation to proceed.

Do you work through the winter?

Routine scheduled attendance runs from approximately March to November, with a pause over the winter months. Any arrangements for the winter period are discussed and confirmed in your proposal.

Will the same team look after my grounds?

Each programme is delivered by a dedicated two-person team so that the people attending get to know your property, its layout and your preferences.

Do I need to be at home when you visit?

No. Most clients arrange access once and we attend on the agreed schedule. We will agree access, gates and any security arrangements with you at the outset.

What happens to garden waste?

Where waste management is included in your programme, we deal with it as agreed in your proposal. We will discuss the options for your property during the assessment.

Do you carry out tree surgery or specialist treatments?

Our programmes focus on lawns, hedges, borders, weed management and general grounds upkeep. If we notice anything that needs a specialist, such as tree work, we will tell you so you can arrange it.

Is there a minimum contract term?

Terms, including the length of the agreement and notice, are set out clearly in your written proposal before you commit to anything.
